Upper Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Much like loose, excess skin around the lower body, sagging skin on the upper arms can be an adverse result of successful weight loss. Upper arm lift, or brachioplasty, is an effective means of improving the appearance of the arms. Slimmer, shapelier arms can be achieved with an upper arm lift performed by Dr. King at our Madison, Wisconsin cosmetic surgery practice.

The Upper Arm Lift Procedure

By removing excess skin and tightening remaining tissue, a slim, toned look can be achieved. The arm lift procedure can sometimes be accomplished through liposuction alone, but often, an incision along the underside of the arm is required. The incision may extend from the underarm to the elbow in more extreme cases, but can be much smaller depending on how much skin needs to be removed. After fat is removed via liposuction, the loose skin is excised and the remaining tissue is reshaped to conform to the contours of the upper arm. Clifford King, M.D., Ph.D. can discuss your options for an upper arm lift in more detail during your consultation.
